Bourg St Maurice is the hub of the Tarentaise. It is the perfect town from which to explore the surrounding ski areas. The closest is the Paradiski, and Bourg St Maurice has direct access to Arc 1600 via the Funicular railway. As well as Les Arcs and La Plagne, you'll also have easy access by car to Tignes, Val d'Isere, Ste Foy, La Rosiere, Courchevel, La Tania, Meribel, Val Thorens and Les Menuires.
There is also plenty to do off the slopes, and Bourg St Maurice has some lovely bars and restaurants. Sitting at the end of the train line, Bourg St Maurice is easily reached via the Eurostar or other trains from Paris.
